A Study on Effectiveness of Transactional Analysis Group Counselling on Marine Corps Military Life Adjustment

Abstract

|
The purpose of this study was to examine the effectiveness of transactional analysis group counselling on military life adjustment for marine corps. The Wilcoxon Matched- Pairs Signed-Ranks Test and Mann-Whitney U Test were used.. 30 participants were randomly assigned to the experimental group(15) and the control group(15); and pre and post test were administered. The experimental group participated sessions for 3 days, 8 hours per day, 120 minutes per session. The result revealed that TA group counselling positively influenced on the military life adjustment for marine corps. This study showed that this program can be used in practical and clinical fields, especially for marine corps to better adjust in military life and resolve conflicts including emotional and mental problems in such rapidly changing environments.
